Reflections: Retreat
The leadership retreat at the end of the Spring semester is designed to bring together students interested in developing and reflecting on their own leadership skills to share best practices from their student organizations. It aims to connect students with leadership development resources at Princeton as well as provide them with practical applicable skills for continued improvement of their own groups. Through the retreat, we hope that students will reflect and establish personal goals for their own leadership style and map out a strategic plan for future growth.
Through close interactions with other campus leaders, the retreat will allow each participant to act as a sounding board for each others' ideas and provide some helpful insights for the problems each participant has identified. Through their participation, the participants shape the direction of the Fall LFC Pilot and take a bold step towards implementing a strong leadership culture at Princeton University.
In 2011, the leadership retreat focused on creating a solid vision, mission, and goal for each of the participant's member group and helping participants take a closer look at how they can become a leader within the context of their current position, whether just as a member or as the leader of a group.
The 2012 Reflections Retreat was held on May 25, 2012 at Mountain Lakes House from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Thank you for your interest and attendance.
